Our Photography Course

If you own a digital SLR camera* and would like to improve your dog photography then we do a day course.

The course is on a one to one basis so we can taylor each course to the individual and there ability.

The course generally starts at 9-9.30 you will meet my dogs** and we will travel to the location and start by taking general portrait shots etc. Camera settings will be explained and we'll load the images you take on to the laptop. We will view and discuss the images over a cooked lunch at a country pub.

In the afternoon we'll go back and take action shots of the dogs retrieving dummies from water and jumping over fences etc. Once you are comfortable with that i will then give you the opportunity to take action shots of my whippet running close to 30 miles an hour#.

4pm (ish) We will return and view the afternoons images and print a few of the best ones and copy the rest of your images on to a DVD.

I feel it is important to point out that the days are relaxed and often go on for a little longer. The most important thing is that you enjoy the day.

I usually run the courses at a location near Tuxford, Nottinghamshire it's just 3 miles from the A1. However if you would like me to visit you at a location of your choice and do the days course then thats fine, the only extra costs would be my travel costs.

I usually run these courses on a weekday as i'm usually busy at weekends. Some weekend dates are available.

If you would like to purchase a course for someone i can provide you with a girt certificate and they can pick the day they would like to attend the course.

The cost for the course is £129^ on a weekday and £149^on a sat/sun. This includes lunch and refreshments. 8 x mounted 6"x8" photo's that you've actually taken on the day and a copy of all the images you took during the day on a DVD. A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking.

Please book well in advance as these courses are extremely popular as the courses are on a one to one basis available days are obviously limited. If the arranged day has to be called off due to bad weather the day will be rescheduled for another day thats agreed by both parties.

* If you don't own a Digital SLR then we can provide one for you to use for the Day

** You are more than welcome to bring your own dogs to photograph on the day. I have several locations that i use including one with 2 shallow lakes. You can get some really stunning shots here as the dogs jump into the lake.

# this does depend on ground conditions etc, i don't run my dogs on really hard ground or ground i consider unsafe for obvious reasons.
